Health Insurance

Simply put, health insurance is protection against medical costs. A health insurance policy is a contract between an insurer and an individual or group, in which the insurer agrees to provide specified health insurance at an agreed-upon price (the premium). Depending on your policy, your premium may be payable either in a lump sum or in installments.

Health insurance usually provides either direct payment for expenses associated with illnesses and injuries. The cost and range of protection provided by your health insurance will depend on your insurance provider and the particular policy you purchase. If your employer does not offer a health insurance plan, you can purchase health insurance on your own.

"I struggled trying to find the right health insurance until I met with my agent at NWIF. She presented a wide array of choices and together we examined what worked the best for my family. Our agent keeps us up to date on new policy options. She has helped immensely with the supplimental plans for my husband's Medicare. She is always available to answer any questions and if she doesn't know, she says so and then goes out to find the answer. I feel relieved to have NWIF as a resource. And in the end I think NWIF helped us save money too!"  Marion Oman, Long Beach, WA

"We at the Port of Ilwaco really appreciate the hometown service that we receive from NW Insurance & Financial.  They met with the entire staff and developed a list of options, then walked us through that list to select the one that best fit the demographics of our particular workforce.  They keep us informed of any changes or better options, as they arise.  They are very aware of the budget constraints that go along with providing coverage to our employees."  --Jim Neva, Manager
